Engineering our rope

We wanted to create the ultimate big pup leash! Something that's bold, functional and build to last. To achieve this, we engineered our own 12mm diamond braided polyester sheath and packed polyester core kernmantle climbing rope with our rope makers here in CALIFORNIA.

We chose to make the rope static which would allow for better communication with your pup. Now at 12mm, the rope we engineered has a calculated tensile strength of over 7,000 pounds. But it wasn't just the over-engineered tensile strength we were thinking about when we made a rope with a 12mm diameter, we also wanted it to be exceptionally durable, feel comfortable and match the vibe of a big pup!

Selecting the perfect ALPHA swivel carabiner

Next, we paired our signature rope with an autolocking swivel carabiner to match. Not any carabiner would do, we selected the ultimate carabiner to match our rope perfectly. Rated at 14kN (3,147 Pound-force) our carabiner is built for BEAR pups! Our Alpha swivel carabiners are made from aviation aluminum and built to be durable, auto-locking and escape proof. We made sure it had to have a swivel feature to avoid getting your pup tangled up.

Putting it all together

Finally, we secured the rope and our swivel carabiner with our heavy duty polymer climbing rope clamps. Not only are these clamps durable and built to last, they feel GREAT in the palm of your hand and provide a firm holding position on the leash loop.
